Beauty Beyond the Surface

With over 25 years of experience as a professional makeup artist, I’ve spent my career helping women feel like the most confident version of themselves—whether they’re walking down the aisle, stepping on set, or launching something bold and beautiful into the world.

I’ve worked in bridal, commercial, red carpet, and education, but at my core, I’m an artist who believes makeup should feel effortless, fun, and aligned with your life.

After years of testing hundreds of products and perfecting my own techniques, I launched Colby Cosmetics—a vegan, cruelty-free beauty brand rooted in simplicity and real-life beauty. Every product is designed to multitask, streamline your routine, and let your natural features shine.

I’m also the founder of Beyond Beauty, a makeup education and mentorship program designed for both aspiring makeup artists and private clients looking to build confidence in their daily routines. From professional artistry training to personalized 1:1 lessons, Beyond Beauty offers a supportive space to grow your skills—whether you're building a business or just want to feel better in your own skin.

In addition to my work in the beauty industry, I’m proud to serve as a makeup educator for middle and high school students in underserved communities throughout the South Bay region of San Diego, CA. Through a grant-funded program with South Bay Community Services, I teach students that creativity is a tool for self-expression—and that their stories, voices, and talents matter.

I’m a San Diego-based mom, entrepreneur, and someone who believes you don’t have to choose between being creative and being in control of your future—you can have both.

Let’s create beauty that goes beyond the surface.
